Welcome to my site!

Projects

Since 2023, I have managed a small on-premises web server hosted on a Raspberry Pi 4B (which is how this site is being hosted).

Since 2024, I have worked with a friend to develop a small Discord bot, written in Python and using the discord.py library, among others. It is not public and is unavailable to anyone who isn't in the development server, or its single production server.

Since August 2024, I have worked as an undergraduate student researcher at Kent State University, where I am an administrator of the IT components used in the projects.

Work Materials

I have worked at Kent State University's Division of Information Technology as a part-time student worker since 2022. I became the senior student worker in 2024 and the student supervisor in 2025.

My work primarily focuses on email security, particularly around phishing attacks that target the university. I respond to reports of potential attacks during every shift and do so with an emphasis on educating the students, faculty, and staff on how to recognize and avoid these threats.

I have also been involved in designing simulated phishing emails that are sent to the university's population at random intervals for training purposes. Many articles (but not all) on the university's phishing awareness website were written by me, and I still help maintain and update the site.

I have given a presentation on email security and data privacy to a cybersecurity student organization, and hope to give similar presentations to other groups at the university.

My department also processes instances of copyright infringement that occur on the university's network and take steps to ensure that the university remains in compliance with the DMCA and HEOA in such cases. I have assisted with this process since 2024.

I am CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certified. See my LinkedIn for more details.

About Me

I am an undergraduate student at Kent State University, studying computer science with a concentration in cybersecurity. I am also pursuing a minor in computer engineering technology.

I have worked at Kent State's Division of Information Technology since 2022. My current role is a part-time student supervisor. See the "Work Materials" tab for more information.

I intend to enter industry as a cybersecurity analyst upon my graduation. I have been accepted into Kent State's graduate computer science program, so my graduation date is December 2027 for now.

I enjoy working with physical hardware, writing Python programs, playing around with websites, and building PCs when I can afford to. I'm also an avid gamer (any time period or genre).

Outside of tech, I love reading (currently reading some history books on Ancient Rome), and playing Dungeons and Dragons when I have the time (been in the midst of a 5e campaign since 2024).
